*Shower invitations*

The tea party and bachelorette party invitations were for the same client. The main shower was the tea party bridal shower. And then later that night, a bachelorette party was being held for the bride, so I created a small card that was inserted with the main invitation.

I wanted this baby shower invitation to look completely different than anything anyone had ever seen before. By using ultrasound photos of the unborn child, I was able to create a little story, and also a keepsake for mom and dad.

*Party invitations*

A client contacted me requesting a design similar to the 30th birthday party invitation I had created for my husband's birthday. The only major difference was the 40.

We host a New Year's Eve party every year, and I always opt to design an invitation instead of e-mailing our friends.

My husband turned 30 and I planned a surprise party for him. The invitations had to be just perfect.

This invitation was designed for a three-year-old's birthday party when the mom said the party was tractor-themed, complete with tractor rides. When she gave me the wording with "Deere" in it, I took it a step further and made the tractor green and yellow to look like a John Deere tractor.

This invitation was for my rehearsal dinner. I found the stationery at at local shop and expanded on the theme with a fun font and typography.

Still a Rain-egade

I wonder if God is testing me. The past three Renegade runs, it has rained. Maybe God wants to test my will, my heart, my dedication. If that's the case, I'm passing the test. Cause I'm out there. And tonight, it was actually really fun. It was warm for a change and I felt like a kid playing in the rain.

I wouldn't be doing it without my girls. Christy, Jenn, Cara, Leslie, Crystal and Alida. You all rock!

But I would be lying if I said I'm not hoping for a dry night Wednesday.

This week, we were Rain-egades!

Another week of training down! I'm getting the hang of it now, and I'm looking forward to the training now. I still hate lifting weights though.

Running with the Renegades on Wednesday and Thursday nights was a challenge. It was in the low 30s and rainy both nights. But we still got out there. Wednesday night we ran two intervals of 8 minutes, with 5 minutes of walking in between. Then Thursday night we ran for 20 minutes, which is about 2 miles for me. Our team cheerleader Christy named us the "Rain-egades". I love it!

Our Gibsonville friends Kristi and Preston corrected me in that the 8K portion of the Groundhog Gallup will not require me to run through water or over any rocks. So that was a relief. Maybe I'll run it after all.

My big accomplishment for the week was Sunday's 3 mile run. I didn't feel tired or winded when I finished, and that's the first time I can every say that after running 3 miles. I'm hoping I can build on that now as we continue with longer distances.
